2009 UFTA National Finals

Congratulation to all the members who qualified their dogs for the 2009 National Finals.  You will be receiving your invitation in the mail within the next week.  Some important information to note:

The Senior Division will begin on Tuesday February 17th.  To be eligible to participate in the trial you must be 62 years old or older.  The trial has been increased to 2 runs one on the 17th and the other on the 18th with trophies to the top  places.  The entry fee has been increased to $100.00 per dog.

The Flushing Division is having its Inaugural Doubles Division Run on Wednesday February 18.  The Flushing Committee is organizing this event. Rules will be posted on the web site in the near future.  The event will consist of 1 dog and 2 handlers with a maximum of 4 entries per owner/handler.  The cost of the event will be 100.00 per team and will award trophies for first 3 places.  If you did not qualify a flushing dog for the nationals and would like more information about participation please contact Jeff Beasley at 812-636-4251 or chris@ufta-online.com.

**As of October 12, 2008 the cottages at Double Head are all full. 
Other lodging is available at Joe Wheeler Lodge- 256-247-5461, Economy Inn-256-247-5416, Budget Inn-256-332-2092 or 256-764-7621, Hampton Inn-256-764-8888, Marriot Shoal-256-246-3600, Best Western-256-381-0236, Days Inn -256-383-3000 or 256-974-1214.  All these are within 25 miles of doublehead.    If you do have reservations at Doublehead and need someone to share your cottage with you please let Tracy at Double head know.

Sunday Feb 15 and Monday Feb 16:  Amatuer Trial
Tuesday Feb 17:  Amateur Finals and Senior Division Begins
Wednesday Feb 18:  Doubles and Senior Division,
Thurdsay Feb 19 and Friday Feb 20:  Open & Flushing Semi finals
Saturday Feb 21:  Open & Flushig Finals
